Veterans Day Crafts and Activities for Young Kids

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe and join the tribe. Thanks for visiting!

As a military family, I’m always curious to see what others are doing to recognize Veterans Day. My son is just getting to the age where he can start understanding what it means that Daddy is in the military, and I think it helps to do activities to help in learning. I collected a list of these fun Veteran’s Day crafts and activities you can do with your children too.

Veteran’s Day Activities

Here are some lovely activities to recognize Veterans Day from a fellow blogger in my tribes, Babies to Bookworms. I love the camouflage sensory bin idea! I have got to do more sensory bins with my toddler.

Here’s a great collection of Veteran’s Day books for kids. Here’s an example of a book to read together:

Here’s a fun new release that is great for Veteran’s day and showing respect for America. Get it from Oliver Gift Shoppe at Oliver the Ornament.

Here are some great songs and poems about Veteran’s day.

This post has some great ideas for teaching young children about veterans. Here are some more ideas to help children honor veterans.

You can make this patriotic star toddler craft!

I really like this idea from Homebound but Hopeful to craft a card saluting our heroes after reading a story.

Try this cute soldier craft I saw on Pinterest. Making and decorating a soldier is a great way to talk about our veterans.
