Inside: how to get out of a negative mindset?
They say negativity is a state of mind, and it’s easy to snap out of. But with life getting the best of all of us, it becomes quite difficult to tackle negative emotions. It can be overwhelming to deal with stress from different aspects of life. Now, with the pandemic causing chaos in all our lives, staying positive seems like a herculean task.
Whether you’re a mother, working professional, or a homemaker, it’s easy to get burned out and feel like it’s the end of the world. But as a woman, donning many hats, I am here to tell you that while there is no avoiding negativity, there are ways to fix it and change the game. Do you need to learn how to fix negative mindset?
Here are five simple ways to improve a negative mindset almost instantly:
Tricks To Improve Negative Mindset
These ideas here will help you learn how to get out of a negative mindset.
Declutter
The space you spend a lot of time in has an impact on your mental health. That’s why it’s essential to be mindful of the environment you spend most of your time in. If you’re feeling frustrated and low on energy, cleaning and organizing can help shift your energy. To declutter is to clean, but there’s a lot more to the process. It involves decision-making skills and tests your problem-solving ability. It can help have a positive impact on your mindset and bring you out of negative thoughts.
Make A Positive Energy Jar
Another brilliant hack to enforce a positive mindset is to maintain a collection of Positive Quotes in a Mason Jar. On days when you are feeling low or cannot ward off a negative thought, open one and read. Believe that the positive thing is going to come true. Make sure you keep this magical essence alive, so open it only during the tough days to feel the joy to the fullest! You can also switch the quotes jar with a positive activity jar. So you can open up a note and follow the activity mentioned on the chit to lift your spirits up.
Envision Your Day
A technique that surely helps positively change your mind is envisioning the kind of day you’d want to have. As soon as you wake up, think about the day you want to have. What you’d eat, how much you’d work out, and what tasks you’d like to accomplish. Set aside an hour for leisure. By doing this every day, you learn to have better control over the negative feelings that might creep into your mind at any point.
Dig Deep!
How to fix your mindset? When a negative thought creeps in, sometimes it helps to sit and evaluate what caused its occurrence in the first place. Pause, rewind, and take note of why the thought is “negative” for you, what fear is it targeting? Dig deep into the WHY, WHAT, and HOW of the negative situation to reach the positive side of it. This task not only helps you turn the feeling around but also helps you understand yourself better.
Take This Time to Indulge
When you’re having a rough day, sometimes the best thing you can do is to order that dessert you crave, climb onto a cozy couch and watch your favorite television show. Do it. When you’re overwhelmed with emotions and feel like you need a break, take it. You’ll be surprised to see how quickly you start to feel better.
Negativity gets to everyone. It’s inevitable, and there’s no escape from it. But what matters is how quickly you can shift your mind from it and come back feeling even more positive. People with strong mindsets are the ones who tackle negativity every day and do simple things to keep themselves positive.
You can also try meditation or some deep breathing exercises. The goal is to let those feelings sink and try to turn them around rather than suppressing them deep within you.

Shalaka, you have some great points to help combat negative mindsets. I love a clean workspace, and taking a few minutes each day to clean up clutter makes my heart giddy. And, yes, it diffuses the negativity that wants to take up residence in my thoughts.
I would like to invite you to share this post over at my site, for the Tell His Story link-up. I think it would encourage the readers. 🙂
