Side-Hustle Series: Interview with Mountains of Motivation

March 26, 2018 by Julie Leave a Comment

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe and join the tribe. Thanks for visiting!

I am enjoying interviewing professionals and mom bosses about their line of work or their side hustles. Today I am sharing an interview with Daniele, a Beachbody coach calling her biz Mountains of Motivation. She also is a teacher!  We met on Instagram.

Tell us a little about yourself and your business. Why did you select it and how did you get started?

I am a full-time working toddler mom and wife. I was really overwhelmed after having my second child. I had a negative attitude about my body, my attitude, and relationships, and just myself in general. I began to make my health a priority, joined an encouraging accountability group, and that morphed into feeling better in every area. Now I run those groups for women and provide workout and nutrition support that works for the busy mom and lady.

Describe what you do and what you sell for those of us not familiar with your line of work or product.

I run challenge groups for busy women and help and encourage them to incorporate healthy eating and fitness into busy days. I use Beachbody products for support of a healthy lifestyle. They offer workouts, meal plans, and nutrition supplements.

They can contact me on Facebook or Instagram at Mountains of Motivation. I’ll be glad to chat with you about your health goals, and see what options will benefit you specifically.

I am OVERWHELMED I have so many things I want to do, and want to do well, that I feel nothing gets the best. Can you relate? It’s a day to day struggle, and I just try! I’ve been focussing on challenging myself physically and mentally lately, and now I’m ready to simplify. To wear the hats, but with grace and purpose. To declutter what isn’t needed, and focus on and have time for the things that bring me joy. I’ve decide for spring to make this my new challenge. To focus on my health, my family, and the simple pleasures of life all with less noise. I think this book is just what I needed right now. If you are looking to simplify, I’d love to walk through this journey together. What do you do to simplify your days? . . . #simplifiedplanner #simplifiedlife #asimplifiedlife @emilyley #toddlermommy #barefootdreams #hairinthewind #twoyearolds #springcleaning #declutter #mommytime #beabetterme #postbabybody #momofmotivation #momotivation

What are some of your favorite things about what you do?

I love that I am able to help other women that are in that place I used to be in. I love to see them gaining confidence in themselves, and making healthier habits work for their lives. Every accountability group becomes such a positive community where friendships are made and people are encouraged daily.

What are some challenges of this business?

Getting people to commit to themselves and start the healthy habits. The products work, it’s just showing people that they can do this.

For someone interested in what you do, can you share what to expect as far as earning potential and effort?

It is definitely slow and steady at first. You can expect to make around $50 for someone signing up initially. After that, it depends on how invested in the products your challengers are. If they continue their nutrition or choose to coach as well, your income will grow. I work this part-time and am still figuring it all out, but about 9 months in I can make around $500 a month by working in the mornings and during my lunch. There is potential, of course, to grow to much more financial success. *Beachbody does not guarantee any level of success or income.

What does it take for someone to get started with their own side hustle in your line of work?

First, they must commit to their own health and fitness. If they see a change and feel what they have done can benefit others, they just start by sharing their journey, and inviting others to join them.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your business?

It has blessed my life in more ways than I ever thought possible. This has been so much more than losing weight. It has created a whole new lifestyle.
