Key To Be A Creative Writer Along With An Inspiring Mother

guestpost

Being a mother is never an easy job. Yes, I agree it is one of the most honored and respectful feelings when you become a mother for the first time. However, it comes with lots of challenges and hardships. And if you work to support your family, it can become more difficult for you to manage your routine.

I’ve been working as a creative writer for over six years, having two kids, and I can say that life tests you daily. However, the urge to be an inspiration for your kids as a mother, friend, and mentor pushes you to work harder. I have always enjoyed my role as a writer and a mother. Some mentors and sessions have helped me figure out my way.

If you are a working mom, your life revolves around three basic things.

  • Work-Life Balance
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Making Yourself & The Family Happy

Let us see how you can perfectly balance your routine and be an inspiration to your family as a writer.

Work-Life Balance Tips

Analyzing your routine and managing a schedule to create a balance between your writing and parental duties is an essential element. You can take the following steps.

1.    Share The Responsibilities

There is no harm in sitting with your husband and deciding or dividing the responsibilities. If you are not doing so, you both can have frequent arguments. The best way is to distribute days and timings for different house jobs.

Sharing your responsibilities is as simple as structuring an outline while writing. For instance, you can distribute laundry, feed pets, make meals, and take care of kids on alternate days or alternate weeks. Thus, you will always know what is coming up your way.

2.    Look For A Babysitter

Just like we, as writers, look for different resources to create a high-quality piece. Similarly, hiring a babysitter to take care of your kids during the daytime is a must if you and your husband are working. However, you need to be very careful while signing a babysitter.

Look for a trusted resource, and the best option would be to get them through a reference of any of your colleagues. Conduct a phone interview first before they interact with your kids. Ask about their previous babysitting experience and Google their name to check for authenticity.

3.    Spend Quality Time

Whenever you have some time for your family, make sure it is worth spending. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice activities like scrolling social networks and watching a film alone. Instead, you can convert your free time into a happy family moment by enjoying time spent together.

4.    Value Your Work

It does not mean that you will need to overlook your family to value your work. What you need to do is to create a sense of value in your kids about your work. You may need to be patient with your family initially, and soon you will realize that your family values your working time.

5.    Accept Support

According to Personal Statement Help UK research on human behavior, “It is always necessary to get a suitable support in every walk of life.” As writers, we often take help from our colleagues with different ideas. Similarly, you will need firm support as a mother.

For instance, you will need to have a platform to look for solutions to different issues. These platforms can include blogs like this one (Fab Working Mom Life) where you can even get help organizing your taxes. By connecting to groups and platforms that support you, you will be able to manage your working routine and take out some time for your family.

Being A Creative Writer

When you can manage your daily routine, you can focus purely on your work during your job timings. It will improve your productivity and performance, but you will also feel comfortable.

The following tips can help you have a clear path toward all your creative writing assignments.

  1. You should select a particular niche instead of trying to be an all-rounder.
  2. Before you start your writing, conduct extensive primary and secondary research.
  3. Knowing your audience is essential when you are about to address someone with your writing.
  4. The next step is to structure an outline of what you will write.
  5. Play with numbers in your writing by including stats, facts, and figures.
  6. Leverage visuals in the form of adding images and integrating videos.
  7. Finally, give it a thorough read and a keen review.

Being Creative Is More About Being Positive

Above all, it is more about your mental health. If you are mentally strong and positive, you will be able to perform your duties well. To keep yourself fresh and mentally relaxed, you can try walking or other exercises daily.

If you are losing yourself to motherhood, you can start jogging or go for a morning walk with your kids. You can also try yoga, EFT tapping, and swimming to relax physically and mentally. Get yourself connected with women in similar situations. Fab Working Mom Life is the best platform to be in touch with working moms. You can also try out a couple of tips as mentioned below.

a.    Setup Your Working Environment

Positive vibes from your working desk are significant. If you are not keeping your workplace nice and clean, you will be fed up soon. Keep something around that motivates you. You can stick some quotations or photos of people who have achieved something in their life.

Place a plant near the desk to keep the environment fresh and give it a natural look. Set your desk in a place where you can find some natural light. Believe me or not, natural light can keep you motivated and fresh all day.

b.    Try Free Writing

According to Assignment Assistance UK, writing can relieve your mental stress. Although, as a writer, you may feel you are writing all the time to earn you some livelihood. But that writing could be for your clients and as per demand.

You may also want to try free writing or journaling. According to Pannebaker’s expressive technique, nonstop writing for 15 minutes a day without having a topic in mind, without caring for the grammar and spelling, can keep you happy.

Your Attitude Will Inspire Your Children

Being a writer and a mother is a challenging yet enjoyable task. If you can keep yourself happy and motivated, you will inspire your children. And to be satisfied, you will need to take care of yourself and your duties.

This post will provide you with some tips to manage your schedule being a working mom. Drop your views and opinions in the comment section below.
