Taking care of your Gut Health with Bio-Kult Probiotics #momsmeet #ad #BioKultUSA #BioKult

August 11, 2022 by Julie Leave a Comment

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your health, especially your gut. They also help to crowd out bad bacteria and yeast, promoting a healthy balance of gut flora. Gut health is very important to our overall health as women and moms.

This is a sponsored post where I have partnered with Moms Meet to share my experience with Bio-Kult Original Multi-Strain Formulation.

You can buy probiotics in the form of supplements, foods, or drinks. Today I want to share with you Bio-Kult probiotic supplements and my experience with them. We just came back from our summer travels and I don’t know about you but my gut gets all kinds of messed up from travel. So partnering to try this probiotic came at a great time when my body needs to regulate and get back into our back to school routine.

What are the benefits of taking probiotics?

Probiotics have been linked with a number of health benefits, including improved digestion, better absorption of nutrients, stronger immune system, reduced inflammation, and better mental health. Probiotics can help prevent or treat diarrhea that is caused by infections or taking antibiotics. They can also help reduce inflammation and improve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

What does a probiotic do for a woman?

Probiotics can help boost energy levels and fight fatigue and stress by reducing levels of cortisol. We already know moms are busy and this time of year we can be overwhelmed with back to school, child care, work, etc. So these benefits of probiotics for women and moms especially can be a huge help.

How long does it take for probiotics to work?

It typically takes 2-3 weeks to feel the effects but even after a week I noticed my digestion improving and my post-travel bloating reduced. I’ve read that it is best to take them at night before bed and not with any hot food or drink, to allow the bacteria to reach your gut intact. I like to take my supplements on a full stomach so I take them after dinner as we’re winding down for the bedtime routine.

You also want to remember to drink lots of water to make the most of your supplements. Hydration is important for your body, regardless.

How do I know probiotics are working?

You’ll start to notice improved digestion first. If you pay attention to your bowel movements for signs probiotics are working, you will notice more regularity and less bloating and gas. However, some side effects of taking probiotics at first can include increased bloating and gas, as your body is going through some changes. Don’t worry about those and stay with it and it will be gone in a few days as your gut microbiome improves.

By regularity, yes – I mean you will notice some great pooping! I mean really great pooping – healthy bowel movements that make you feel relaxed and lighter after. Because a healthy bowel movement is so important, using probiotics to help improve that body function is key.

Of course, if you already have a very healthy digestion and consume probiotic-rich foods, you may not need a supplement. This depends on your lifestyle and your level of health. Mine could use some improvement. I have definitely noticed some very good bowel movements now that I have been taking these Bio-Kult probiotic supplements for two weeks. And yes ladies – it is OK to talk about poop! Women’s health includes digestion, after all!
