The level of stress working moms have to face is tremendous. Working moms have to balance a lot more than just work.  The responsibility of the children rests on their shoulders; they have to balance their work while simultaneously being accountable for the household. Making sure the house runs smoothly, grocery shopping, picking up the kids from school, helping them with their homework, making sure a warm delicious meal rests on the table for dinner time. Their life is very hectic.

There are ways women can balance their life and survive while maintaining their sanity.  For starters, working moms should realize that they are not superwomen and shouldn’t try to balance more on their plates than what they can handle.

How does one mom keep herself sane? Well here are a few things known to help working moms keep their sanity intact.

Daily workout

Try exercising to help you reduce the stress level you have built up. Yes, we know you scarcely have sufficient energy to pee, not to mention put on your shoes. Which is the reason all we’re asking is that you focus on ten minutes. That is it. Accomplish something simple, similar to stroll around the square or flip on a wellness channel and join in or get two or three soup jars and pump like weights. Attempt to discover something you like and stay with it. If you’re done after ten minutes, fine, but chances are you’ll say, “I can do another ten!”

Be Organized

Allocate a single day where you cook all the meals of the week so that the rest of the days you can work comfortably. It would also be wise to pick out all your outfits for the week and have them ironed one day so the rest of the days it’s no trouble. When it comes to chores try delegating work around the household and not try to do everything single-handedly. It’s not just their house it’s everyone’s. These things may sound trivial and one may think these things won’t make much of a difference, but trust me these little life hacks will go a long way in helping you.

Relaxing

Always make time for yourselves. Allocate a certain time slot each day where you pamper yourself, you deserve it. Treat yourself for a manicure or go to the spa where you just relax and get rid of all that anxiety you have built up.  If you feel exhausted and drained, never try to overexert yourself. Make it a point to see a physician or a specialist for routine checkups, as statistics indicate those who have a habit of going for checkups have a healthier lifestyle and feel fresher, plus they rarely fall ill.

Learn to say no

Work on saying “not this time” pleasantly and firmly and with just a few words. Whether turning down a business-lunch welcome or a play date for your child, don’t legitimize the “no” with a point by point clarification. Still not open to saying no? Take a stab at saying “I wish I could, yet”— it’s milder.

Make sure not to work after 9 and set your limits or your daily goals that you intend to achieve. Then make time for family too. Watch some television with them before going to bed, have dinner together, and talk about how their day went.

Remember as long as you balance everything, it gets a lot easier to deal with.

Yea I’m definitely seeing that you can’t really “wing it” but really have to be deliberate with time spent or it all just disappears.

These are some great tips. I have so much respect for working mom’s. I’ve been a stay at home mom and working mom. Both are hard in different ways. The author provided some very valuable tips.
