Wow, it’s back-to-school season already! When is the first day of school for your kids? I’m here with some freebies for you to start the school year off with some fun. In this post, you will find the following first day of school printable pdf free:

First day of school interview questions

I thought with this weird year of school returning up again it would be fun to do the first day of school interview printable for your kiddo and mine. The questions here are easy, as these are meant for young kids / elementary school kids.

The questions on this back to school printable are summarized below and can be filled out by the child who can already read and write, or you can help write what the younger child responds:

  • My name is
  • The school year (ie 2021-2022)
  • I am __ years old
  • Class of (this would be the year your child would be graduating from high school, use this calculator if you don’t know)
  • I’m starting grade
  • My Teacher is
  • My Favorite subject
  • Career when I grow up (this one is fun because it changes year to year for most kids)

After school checklist printable

Here’s another for you – a free printable after school routine chart for your kiddo. I’m keeping this simple, again this is meant for elementary kids. My son is going into the first grade (which I still can’t believe is happening already) so keeping it down to a handful of steps is key. These are the steps we’re using for our after-school routine:

  • Wash Hands
  • Healthy Snack
  • Unpack Backpack (this includes emptying the lunchbox, taking out any wet/soiled clothing, returned homework/worksheets)
  • Homework
  • Play-time (because it was well-deserved)

That’s typically how things go at our house, except we also do playtime at the park on the way home from school, since I walk to pick-up and the park is next to the school. That gives a good transition time for his little body and then when we get home, he can focus on what needs to be done.
