We are so excited that spring is here! The flowers are blooming and the Earth is looking lovely. So we wanted to share some fun kid crafts we can all try to celebrate Earth Day and spring! Keep reading for some fun earth day activities for kids!
Earth Day Paper Plate Toddler Craft
I love doing paper plate crafts with my toddler! They are always easy ’cause that’s how I roll and he enjoys them. Here’s a great and easy option for planet earth crafts for preschool.
Supplies:
- Paper Plates
- Blue and green Construction paper or tissue paper
- Scissors (preschooler safe scissors)
- Flower confetti
- Glue
- Newspaper or packing paper for a mess-free workspace
Steps:
We did this one as a two-part project. First, we cut up green and blue strips for the Earth. The blue we used construction paper but for the green, I used some scrap tissue paper.
Then we poured some Elmer’s on the paper plate and my little assistant placed the blue and green strips of paper on the plate. Ta-da, we now have the Earth!
But because he was still having fun, I pulled out some flower confetti we had and we glued some more on top of the Earth. The result is another lovely spring creation with blue waters and green meadows and flowers galore.
