Houston is hosting the biggest game of the year, and you know what that means – your snack plate will be filled with Tex-Mex and Jalapenos, and some BBQ sliders with a side of Dr. Pepper or Sweet Tea. Yay Texas!
Things to do in Houston
If you’re traveling to my town to watch the game or tailgate, here are some must-see local stops you should consider visiting if you have some extra time the weekend of the Big Game.
- Discovery Green – a 12-acre park with tons of activities and things to see and do. Enjoy a lovely pond and views of our Downtown. Go ice skating. Check out the Gateway Fountain and the playground. And walk by all the lovely art features.
- Houston Museum of Natural Science – not too far from Downtown is this awesome museum where you can get your geek on and see the fun exhibits.
- Space Center Houston – you can’t forget a fun trip to see some NASA finery! A bit of a drive if you’re staying near the Stadium for the game, though.
- Downtown Aquarium – is a fun place to eat and explore!
