It is no secret that I am a reader. I love books. Lately, it feels like I am collecting books more than reading them, but hey, I still read when I can. Usually, this means on my commute. Thanks to Audible I can make that happen. Yay for audiobooks. I wanted to share some of my favorite books I read (or listened to) this year.
As you can see, I have genres I enjoy and stick to reading for the most part. I have read over 60 books this year, and these are the books that are on my top reads list for 2016.

I love the whole Charley Davidson series, and the audio narrator is fantastic!

I enjoyed White Raven and that it was a slightly different take on the paranormal genre. I enjoy books with unique “creatures”.

I’m actually quite addicted to the whole series. I’ve already read 3 of the books, now to get the rest. I love the audio, the fact that the love interest/sidekick? is a hot Scot, and that our heroine isn’t perfect, but still tries so hard to be honorable.

Lovely retelling. Fairy tale retellings are super popular right now, but few have really worked for me. This one has. Give it a go.

I loved this YA story about mental illness and finding oneself.

Winter is an amazing and heart-racing finale to an excellent series. Such a unique spin on all these fairy tales!

If you’ve been following my book blog Chapter Break, you’ll know we’re huge fans of Colleen Hoover. This is another one of her excellent works.

I loved the Norse mythology and curious feel of this book. I enjoyed the second one the series as well, and plan to keep reading.

Beautifully written and well-narrated. This book was a breath of fresh air for me in the paranormal genre.

The covers of the books alone are intriguing.

I’ve never read Colleen Hoover before, but she’s definitely caught my attention before. Which of hers should I read first?

My first by her was Hopeless, and I also really liked Slammed. Slammed is less stressful of a read if you want to go for something more poetry focused 🙂
