Benefits of Elderberry supplement #AD #elderberry #Sambucol #LetsSambucol #momsmeet

I received this product from Moms Meet to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

We’ve heard how great the Elderberry can be for boosting the immune system and supporting overall wellness. In our current season of life, I thought it would be great to try them out via the Sambucol® products and share our thoughts.

Benefits of Elderberry

The European plant Sambucus nigra is the most common type of elderberry plant. I learned that Hippocrates (the “Father of Medicine”) called the elder tree his “medicine chest.” (Source)

The berries and flowers of the elderberry plant are a low-calorie food and are packed with antioxidants and vitamins. Elderberries are high in Vitamin C and dietary fiber.  (Source)

Many people believe elderberries can help:

  • Boost your immune system
  • reduce inflammation and swelling
  • reduce joint and muscle pain
  • reduce headaches
  • ease constipation and as a diuretic
  • treat infections
  • improve mood and reduce stress

The elderberry plant is used in many forms, with people creating gummies, jams, teas, juice, and syrups.

Sambucol Products

Sambucol®, the original Black Elderberry extract, provides strong immune system support to help you and your family stay healthy throughout the year. Sambucol is made from black elderberries which have twice the natural antioxidant capacity of blueberries and more than 50% the overall antioxidant capability of cranberries.

Sambucol Elderberry

These are the products I tried:

  • one 60-count bottle of Sambucol® Black Elderberry Gummies
  • one large Sambucol Original Syrup
  • one 30-count box of Sambucol Immune Powder Drink with Vitamin C

We already take a daily vitamin, and for my son, I especially make sure his children’s vitamin includes Omega-3s. Now I’ve added the Sambucol gummies to his daily vitamins. Taking these are a part of our evening routine. We take vitamins with or after dinner, before brushing teeth and starting the bedtime routine. I love that these Sambucol gummies are safe for kids four and up (and mine is five years old). They do have an intense berry flavor that takes a bit for a kid to get used to, but I thought they were delicious. I definitely will keep the gummies as part of my son’s vitamin regimen.

If you’re into baking, the Syrup is a great ingredient in all kinds of fun recipes. Still into baking bread? They have a recipe for that. Or even on pancakes! I’m into refreshing drinks so I think I will try out this mocktail. Also great in popsicles since summer heat is nowhere near over.

In the mornings I’ve been drinking a skinny greens type drink. Gotta work on that Quarantine-15 right? The Immune Powder are great ingredients in a smoothie or mixed powder drink. I liked the flavor quite a bit, and it really improved upon my greens drink flavor. I think the powder will work best for me.

More information about Sambucol:

  • Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies offer natural immune support.
  • Sambucol Gummies are pectin based, sweetened only with pure cane sugar, and contain no artificial flavors or colors.
  • There is only 1 g of sugar per gummy.
  • The gummies are suitable for vegetarians and vegans and can be used by adults and children from four years old.
  • They are gluten, nut, soy, dairy, and egg free
