Before I became a parent, I thought “how hard can it be?” Silly, silly me. I definitely need some hacks, shortcuts, and ways to make my life as a mom easier. So I’m very thankful to have this chance to read and share this wonderful book with you!

Parent Hacks is a small paperback full of great tips and AHA moments. There are tips about taking care of babies, cooking, travel, organizing your home, and more! Seriously, where was this book when I was pregnant!? Curious to see some of these magical hacks? The Parent Hacks Facebook Page has some great previews! Here’s one example:

What impressed me most about this book is the presentation. This is a cute little paperback with amazingly adorable doodles to illustrate each hack. Genius! Not only does that really help make the hack memorable, but it kind of gives you a chuckle – because we parents just have to laugh at ourselves. 134 hacks – even after just flipping through a few pages I knew this book would be useful. Some hacks I knew about already, some were pure genius ideas that I must implement. This would make a great gift to new parents!

Drawing from the award-winning website ParentHacks.com, here are 134 ingenious ideas for simplifying life with kids.

A parent hack can be as simple as putting the ketchup under the hot dog, minimizing the mess. Or strapping baby into a forward-facing carrier when you need to trim his fingernails—it frees your hands while controlling the squirming. Or stashing a wallet in a disposable diaper at the beach—who would ever poke through what looks like a used Pamper?

On every page, discover easy-to-do, boldly illustrated, unconventional solutions, arranged by category from Pregnancy & Postpartum through Sleep, Eating, Bath Time, Travel, and more.

Check out their Facebook Page to see if they are having a launch party in your area. I’d love to go one if they come to Houston.  You can also follow @ParentHacks on Instagram, where new hacks are being shared regularly.
