My Name

About My Name

My name is Julie. Here’s what my name means:

Julie: Greek;
“Youthful”. Young in heart and mind. Your name of Julie indicates qualities of a leader and organizer but a difficulty in concentrating and systematizing your efforts interferes with achieving your goals. You desire a good standard of living and the best quality in all your material possessions. You have a friendly nature, well-liked by others for your sense of humour and pleasant personality and you love parties and socializing in general.
You could be musically or artistically inclined and may often be the “life” of the party and would enjoy finding expression in the entertainment field. You have a pleasure-loving nature, and although you have an ability to meet and mix with people on all levels, you tend to become involved in awkward emotional situations to your detriment. Deriving pleasure from giving to others, you enjoy spending money on them, but tend to be a spendthrift, and not build up a reserve for emergencies.

Commentary: I think I am pretty youthful. Most of the time. Sometimes I feel so old, but that’s only when I’m too stressed out. I’m very organized and often times become the leader in a group situation. Concentrating is sometimes a problem for me, yes. I want to live well, in a nice house, drive nice cars, etc. So that part is correct as well. I’m pretty friendly if I’m in a normal mood (meaning not upset over something) so most people find it easy to talk to me and get along with me. I’m not extremely social anymore, but I used to be. So I’m definitely not the life of the party anymore, unless it’s my party with my people. I was in choir for many years, but I wouldn’t say I am extremely talented musically or artistically in any other way. I definitely can’t draw all that well. I don’t think I “tend to become involved in awkward emotional situations” at all. I tend to avoid them is more likely the truth. I wouldn’t say I love giving gifts all that much. I also don’t like to spend money. I like to spend other people’s money 😉 But not necessarily my own. So most of this stuff is pretty correct, but some of it is a tad off.

Julie is the #52 most common female name.

0.348% of females in the US are named Julie.

Around 443700 US females are named Julie!

My Mom’s friend had the following made for me. It’s a small poster with information such as what my name means and lots of stuff about my personality.

Here’s what it says about me:

*~*Julie*~*

Root: feminine form of Julius

Origin: Greek

Meaning: “youthful and beautiful”

Majestic: a person of great luminescence

Personality: one who always takes part

Genuine: can perceive a person’s true heart

Style: quick with a compliment

Ability: a person who dares to excel

Character: when determined, cannot be stopped

Sentiment: leaves nothing to chance

Physical: acts with deliberation and forethought

Commentary: I think I agree pretty much with everything this says. I’m not sure about the “luminescence” part. But I always try to participate in as much as I can. I like to be able to see deep inside people, and know what they really are like. I try to compliment people and make them smile when I can. I always want to be the best I can and if I set a goal for myself, good luck stopping me. I don’t like to leave things to chance: everything must be planned out so I don’t panic. I try to do things carefully and think things through before I act, if possible. Of course, there are times when in the heat of the moment, thinking goes right out the window.
