5 ways to make money at home with minimal setup

guestpost

Several newspapers are comparing the current lockdown situation with the Pearl Harbor bombing or the 9/11 attack. Indeed, they are not exaggerating. Americans in a decade have not witnessed such a dreadful condition.

Thank Goodness we are currently living in a digital age. The internet has made our life easier than our predecessors.

With the help of the internet and easy-to-fit-in home modern equipment, you can earn money while you are confined to your house.

Take a look at the five easy money-earning techniques that a mom can adopt without much hassle at home.

  • 4.  Choose a suitable job from the pool of freelancing jobs: Work from the comfort of your home
  • 5.  Be a Stock Market Investor: Use the lockdown as an opportunity to learn about the stock market and earn your living as an independent woman

1.  Be a Virtual Instructor: Teach thousands of students online

A virtual instructor is perhaps the most underrated job sector that has immense potential. If you are a mom having a kid who needs 24/7 care from you, there is nothing better than being an online teacher.

The set-up won’t cost you much. All you need is a computer or laptop, an internet connection, and headphones. Decide your teaching schedule as per your suitable time and be a virtual teacher.

There is never any shortage of demand for language, science, and mathematics teachers. As an English teacher, you can earn $14-$23 per hour, and with experience, you can flourish more.

2.  Apply for a Virtual Personal Assistant job:  Handle all the official engagement of your client from the comfort of your couch

If taking care of official matters in office was your forte before the lockdown, then you will not face any problem after being a virtual assistant.

The work procedure will be the same as it was before. You have to check emails, fix appointments, organize events virtually without any presence in the office. The one problem that may arise in the life of the virtual secretary is that you have to work as per the schedule of your client. In the job profile of a virtual secretary, you cannot get flexible job timing.

According to Indeed, the average salary of a virtual secretary is $16.15 per hour.

3.  Check out a Remote Call Center job: The job opportunity is flourishing day by day

While on lockdown, a remote call center job may be ideal for you. It will offer a decent package per month and employee benefits as well when you gain enough experience.

According to some job market specialists, 50% of all call centers based in America have some employees, especially women, who work as remote call center employees. Thus these companies are saving millions of dollars as office set-up, so the availability of remote work-from-home-call center jobs is increasing day by day, and getting a job is not too difficult amidst the lockdown.

As a remote call center employee, a mom can earn $15/hour. You will be getting paid on the calculation of hourly rate, per minute rate, per call rate, and along with that let’s not forget about the incentive that is also available in the remote call center job profile.

4.  Choose a suitable job from the pool of freelancing jobs: Work from the comfort of your home

According to the joint survey conducted by Upwork and Freelancers Union, there were 57 million freelancers in the USA by 2019. From this report, you can assume how many people have already adopted the freelancing method even before the lockdown.

You can get plenty of jobs as a freelancer. These jobs vary from content writing, editing, designing logos or posters for the website, etc.

Indeed, the job portal says, you can earn $22.46 per hour as a freelance content writer. Whereas as a freelance editor, you can earn $22.86 per hour.  The weekly income of a web designer is not bad either. Job portal recruiter says you can earn $692 per week as a freelance web designer.

5.  Be a Stock Market Investor: Use the lockdown as an opportunity to learn about the stock market and earn your living as an independent woman

Among all the job opportunities depicted here, only the stock market can give you the chance to work as an independent woman.

Though in the beginning, as a newcomer, you may face problems in the stock market, if you follow the Nasdaq way, decent earnings from the stock market are not that tough. Nasdaq says you may invest as meager an amount like $50 at first. You have to make your laptop or cell phone ready for internet-trading purposes.

Now, decide with which broker you want to open an online trading account. Set up a trading account and transfer some money from your bank account. When the fund arrives, it will take barely 1 to 3 days to start your new venture, the stock market investing.

There are several basic programs available in the market that will teach you about which share to buy, when to sell it, and about the direction of the market.

If you listen to the financial experts on various TV programs and start reading different trade-specific books, you can earn $500 per month as a beginner in the initial phase. When you become an experienced stock market investor, your income will be beyond any limit.

5 ways to make money during lockdown

Options are no fewer before you if you are thinking about how you can make money during this lockdown period. There are several make-money-from-home choices available with minimum cost.

In a lockdown, another point to be noticed is your debt. The upcoming days are going to be tough for you and your family, and you cannot ignore your debt. While you are researching options to make money during the lockdown, if you search on the internet about how to pay off debt and save money easily, ultimately you will be beneficial and free from stress and anxiety.
