5 Side Hustles You Can Do With Your Kids

guestpost

The biggest struggle stay-at-home moms face is when they have to search for a money-making hustle which they can do with kids around. As a work-at-home mom, I know the drive to earn money and contribute to the family finances and also be around your kids.

Staying at home does not mean you have to give up on your idea of money-making. There are so many side hustles that are flexible and suitable for moms who choose to stay at home.

Below are some of the easy and fun side gigs you can do if you are a stay-at-home mom.

Childcare

Taking care of kids as a Babysitter is perfect for stay-at-home moms. This hustle is natural to any momma at home. You can take two routes for starting this hustle, you can either join companies like Care.com, or you can start your own childcare business at home. This is a very enjoyable business that does not require much investment. You don’t have to stay away from your kids glued to a computer while making money from home if you take up this hustle.

Sell Used Items

Whether it is pre-loved clothes or books or electronic stuff, you can sell a lot of things from home. If you have piles of pre-owned baby clothes around, then go over to Poshmark to list your clothes. You can also sell new clothes on these platforms.

If you got a room full of books or too much of electronic junk at home, then consider selling on Decluttr. The whole selling process is easy and can be quickly done online without much hassle.

I am sure with kids around you are going to have a lot of unused stuff around the house, and selling them online could be a great option to earn money from them.

Personal Stylist

Love dressing up your kids? If you are the fashion perfectionist, then consider becoming a personal stylist with Stitchfix and work from home. This is a perfect hustle for all the moms who want to earn money using their creative skills.

As a Stitchfix stylist, you will be putting together a perfect ensemble for the clients according to their lifestyle and budget. A good sense of style and ability to cater to the clients’ needs is essential for this hustle. The best part about being a personal stylist is that you can do everything conveniently online.

Direct Sales

Do you know that working from home as a mom means you need a hustle that’s totally flexible? Of all the flexible hustles, the best and the most profitable one is direct sales. Don’t worry; you don’t have to go door to door to sell something or start a scammy MLM scheme. Direct sales business has evolved over the years, and everything goes online now. If you have the network and marketing streak in you, then join companies like Stella & Dot and Avon to start your own direct sales hustle.

Baking

This is my personal favorite. How many times have you baked a cake to perfection for your kids’ parties? I am sure, countless times. Why not take this to the next level and earn money from home? Baking is fast becoming a lucrative side hustle for moms who love to stay at home and also want to earn money. This hustle is flexible, and you can do it according to your schedule. Having a good network and the necessary skills to craft perfect sweet creations is needed to start this gig.

Every day new hustles are coming up, and there is no shortage of side gigs for moms. Whether you have toddlers at home or want to hustle during school hours, you can choose a viable side hustle and make money from it. Just a word of experience, every hustle has a learning curve, so be prepared to give some time for it to settle in your busy life.
