Fine Motor and Sorting Toys

Busy books with fine motor skill practice are a total hit with toddlers! My son is obsessed with buckles currently so he would love this one:

My toddler loves loves loves shape shorter toys. We seriously have one in every room he hangs out in. I recently got him this one and it is great for bringing along with us as well.

These wooden sorter toys are brilliant! I think I’ll be adding this to my son’s list.

Latches and locks are an exciting toy for toddlers as well.

Toys for Pretend Play

Playmats are also a great gift idea. If your kiddo is super obsessed with cars like mine is, this mat, and the cars of course, make an awesome gift. Bonus points that it can come with you to entertain the toddler when visiting friends or family.

My kiddo loves trains and musical toys, so this one is perfect.

A musical workbench is also a huge hit here!

This towing game is both fun, and a fine motor practice. And budget-friendly too!

My son has this chair and it continues to be a hit. So many learning opportunities and it grows with him.

You absolutely can’t go wrong with building blocks!

Here’s another one for car enthusiasts. I’m getting something like this for my kiddo. Shhh don’t tell him.

My son is obsessed with our broom. So maybe one his own size would be a great gift.

Board Books

Board books are always wonderful and I love when my kiddo sits down and peruses what’s on his bookshelf.

    • My son is obsessed with them too! He can’t open them but must close them at all times like his high chair and stoller cannot be left un-buckled
