This week I will share with you my basket kitty. Yes, my house panther likes to get comfortable. This is a basket full of blankets cause I get cold all the time, and she likes to lay on them 🙂
This week I am sharing pictures of my sink kitty. She likes to sit in the sink and keep me company.
Over Labor Day weekend I visited my parents in California and got to see other family that I haven’t seen in about a year and a half. As it turns out my parents and I have met in various locations recently for vacations but I haven’t been back to their house since January of last year. Since I had to only take 4 days off work to end up with a 9 day trip, we decided this was a good time for a visit. But, since 9 days is a long visit, we decided to take a trip the second […]
I was out of town for last week’s Cat Thursday (trip update post coming soon). This week I’m posting pics of my parents’ monster kitty, who I got to visit last week. He is a 22 pound Maine Coon. His name is Lapik (which, yes, those of you who are my long time followers know is very similar to the name of our previous cat named Lapka who crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few years after I moved away – they just took her name and made it masculine. How original.) Yea this is how big he really is – […]
OMG there’s a thing called Cat Thursday! I am so in! Here are two photos I took of my kitteh being cute on the bathroom mat.
I watched the NBC show The Voice for the first time this past season. This was Season 4. The reason I started watching the show is I saw somewhere (either Facebook or Twitter) that Shakira was a judge. Now, if you know me, you know I love her! So, I set my DVR to record it for me. I don’t usually watch reality TV, but this show was so good! Not only did this show make me respect Shakira even more, it also gave me a new appreciation for Country music (since I’ve never been much of a fan) as […]
A few weeks ago I went on a work trip to Nashville for my client. They had their environmental conference there since the Nashville office moved into a new building and wanted to host. So of course every evening we went out and ate and drank and had a good ole time. One restaurant even brought us a free desert tray because we were such a big group. I also enjoyed the live music, because when you go to Nashville, you gotta hear some music! The conference material was pretty interesting but the evenings were even more so. One evening […]
On Tuesday I got an award, along with the other people on the team for the greenhouse gas reporting project. The award was kind of interesting because it was given to my client (that I have been working full time with for the past 2 years) by their vendor (that makes the software they use as their environmental database) at the vendor’s conference (along with all the other winners this year). We used the program to collect data, calculate emissions, and then create the annual report in XML format for submittal to the EPA. It is a pretty involved project […]
Comicpalooza is the Houston comic convention and this year I decided to attend. It was my first major con, and it was quite a bit overwhelming. The convention program was 64 pages long! Yea I wore a Walking Dead tshirt 🙂 I also bought a Supernatural tshirt while I was there. Cause, um, yea, favorite show and all. It has the 4 guys – The Winchester brothers, Cas, and Bobby! Love it! I went with a friend of mine who is a Trekkie and even brought her captain’s plate to get two people to sign it. I never watched the […]
I just spent a super awesome long weekend in Las Vegas with my family to celebrate turning dirty thirty. Yep, I have leveled up to the big 3-0. I guess its not so bad. My parents pretty much paid for everything so I had a really nice and pretty cheap birthday trip. We arrived on Friday and spent most of the day walking around and seeing the super awesome hotels. We stayed at the Monte Carlo, which is affordable if you buy a package deal through Southwest. The Monte Carlo is really nice and that’s where the Blue Man Group […]
